a double stuffed weekend

Last weekend was successful, I'd say. So successful it took me a whole week to recover from. But really. That is why this blog post is, well, a week late.

We like to start our weekends out right so some roommates/neighbors and I went the Logan temple.
One too many mis-said last names later we drove home with the windows rolled down and heads out!. (it's warm, it's warm!)

On Saturday we journeyed from Logan to Spanish Fork and everywhere in between for the festival of colors.  Traffic in Utah county is unnerving. We made it through by compromising music selections. We switched between Kelly Clarkson and Johnny Cash. Strange, I know.

We were with are neighbors all weekend and I only had one thing on my mind. NEWSPAPER. let me explain. Our neighbors have pranked us so mach in the past year and we have just been waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike back. We had been gathering newspaper for a month and had our cupboards and pantry full, and mind you our cars were permeated with the lovely smell of newspaper.  Our prime time to strike was during church, or so we thought. So we pre-crumpled newspaper into the wee hours of the night so we could run home, move the newspaper across the hall, and make it back for the rest of church.  Long story short it didn't go quite as planned, one of our neighbors who we didn't think would get home from his track meet until later was already home.  We did manage to throw a few BIG armfuls of newspaper into their front room, however we thought our attempt at being sneaky went down the drain. We trudged back to the car feeling more defeated than ever. After church the boys found out there was a whole bunch of newspaper in our apartment that didn't make it to theirs. So they helped us move it all into their apt where we proceeded to jump and play in it like kids on Christmas morning. It even turned out to be more successful then we once thought.

It is always a pleasure.

Spring Fever

And this is what spring break looks like in picture form

picnics at parks with the cutest girls round these parts!!

settling the greatest dispute of my life!
I gave Aubree this tattoo I bought at an A&W toy vending machine. Foolishly, I forgot I had another little sister, it took Kennadee a total of 5 seconds to discover I had unfairly not given her one. I only had one...so to settle the tears I said "oh you want one too? cut it in half!" and then Kennadee yells "I want the head!" and the next thing I knew my dad was cutting it in half and already applying this SICK tatt!

Spending time with friendlies! whisper dome in Drap.
we love us some Hi Mountain Drug for a burger fix!  1 hour drive for a burger? Check!

I got to visit Kit in Eph! best big sister ever. This picture is post country swing dancing to show that I did indeed survive. Seriously it was the most intimidating and foreign thing of my life. It's not like some high school dance where you can freak dance and look like a fool. There was real hard core cowboys doing some insane flips and lifts. (I had to sit out after dancing with this one boy because I was so dizzy and disoriented for a bit. oh and that's why the picture is blurry....I think.)
just getting in a good study sesh! :) haha this is right before Kennadee told me my lesson was boring.
reeses pieces reunite and on a triple date! wahoo. You are never too old for the DBZL! (day break zip line)
I'm afraid spring fever is just starting too. It's finally getting warm and I love it!

always a pleas.

Always a….home wrecker?

This past weekend I have been paying more attention to the little things that we do around these parts. (we meaning roommates)  Ever since my last blog post where I apparently “came out” about being a freshman. (Justin, my brother described it as that…funny.)  In just a short weekend I was shocked to see how many behaviors went on to support our “typical freshman” stereotype.

On Friday afternoon myself along with roommates Kylie and Amy were walking to our apt after being at the grocery store.  We were just about to the door when PLOP!!  We had been attacked overhead by oranges from the boys in 401. Scariest thing ever.

Throughout the day on Friday we would scare everyone when they would come out of the bathroom.  As well as pouring flour and ice cold water on Ky during her shower.

One of my neighbors threw all of his old underwear in a tree because, well I guess you could say he became of age… namely that age of 19 before you go on a mission.
The list goes on and on like when my apt was belting it to Kelly Clarkson for a good 45 minutes.  I send my deepest apologies to anyone who may have heard us.

On Saturday I made my brother take me on a date. You know like a brother/sister date where you talk about everything important and such and just relax for a bit because after all it’s just your brother who can’t judge in any way, shape, or form because duh, he is your older brother and would have to take at least partial credit (1/4 to be exact) for the way you have turned out.

We go on these dates quite frequently because I’m always in the mood for some good bro/sis time.  Justin is engaged and normally his FiancĂ© Jenn would have joined us but she was working that night.  It seems Jenn’s roommates had the same idea as to eat at cafĂ© rio and were there at the same time we were.  I haven’t ever met them and Justin didn’t see them, but it turns out they thought he was on a date. (Scandal)  They being the loyal roommates that I’m sure they are told Jenn that Justin was on a date. (Gasp) How dare he? Or how dare I? Meh I don’t blame them for drawing such conclusions I did have Justin laughing a lot which could easily be mistaken for flirting I guess.  Anyways it was a great night even before I found out that while enjoying our time we were being scoped out hard core. (me especially for being a home wrecker)  Our intentions as innocent as they were had a table full of girls thinking my brother maybe wasn’t the GREAT/SWEET kid that he is.

and...that my friends is

ALWAYS a pleasure.
